Lots-O-Birthdays

After Christmas, we celebrate 3 birthdays within a week. Christmas wish lists have to be extra long in our family.

January 2, 2010 – Nana’s Birthday. Nana had a lot of help blowing out her candles on her pineapple upside down cake!

December 31, 2009 – Uncle Ryan’s Birthday. Chocolate fondue was all the cake Uncle Ryan wanted. The bad thing about blogging 9 months after the event is that I have no idea why Michael was half naked. I’m sure there was a good reason. :-)

December 26, 2009 – Pop-pop’s Birthday!

Christmas!

Seriously, is anything better than Christmas morning? Alex loves his pop up fire truck.

They had a wonderful time opening their presents from Santa, Mommy, and Daddy.  Nick had just opened his stocking and was determined to open up the M&Ms to have them for breakfast.

They loved it when Nana and Pop-pop showed up, too!

After a fun filled morning, the kids had time to play and relax.  Then we were off to Aunt Barb and Uncle Hugo’s house for more fun.  It was a great, wonderful day!

Christmas Eve

Usually, we go to Aunt Jenn and Uncle Ryan’s house, but this year we had the pleasure of hosting.  We usually exchange gifts with the Mattsons on Christmas Eve, which the kids all really seem to like.

December 24, 2009 – Cassie with her brand new, knitted stocking (I made them for all the kiddos this year).

The gift carnage!

The kids were sad that this was “Tiny’s” last night.  It was our first year with the Elf on the Shelf, and Tiny eventually brought some friends from the North Pole back with him.  The boys asked Santa to send Tiny and his friends back at Easter (but they probably won’t be back until after Halloween).

December 22, 2009 – Alex and Nick wrapped some presents. They used a ton of tape and ribbon.

And had wrapping paper tube fights!

Oh yeah. That's right. I do have a blog. . .

December 19, 2009 - We had a heavy, sticky snow storm. It was awesome! We built our first real snowman. He toppled over about 15 minutes after building him, but we at least had enough time to get some pics.

Super fun to build
Nick loved throwing iceburgs at people!

December 12, 2009 - Wild Lights at the Zoo
Had to dress very warmly because it was seriously cold.
