The Rest of July

7/29/08 - Playing in the oats is a new favorite. We have since upgraded to a larger container for the construction equipment.
They are actually playing cooperatively!
This is how Alex looks when he is asking me for something.
7/27/08 - Playroom re-organization project #12. Alex loved playing with all of his toys since Mommy got everything organized (yet again).
Playing with GeoTrax AND Little People.
Now playing with construction stuff. . .
Now playing with dinosaurs.

Too hot outside!

7/26/08 - The first rainbow the boys have *really* seen and understood.

It was so bright in person - not as visible on film.
7/20/08 - Alex's contraption. The boys and I were baking a cake, and while it was in the oven, Alex figured out a way to balance a big ladle on a coffee scoop in a drawer pull. "Why?" you might ask. . .

Well, to put M&Ms in, of course!

7/18/2008 - ARGH!!!!!!

The Franklin County Fair

7/13/2008 - We spent a rainy, wet Sunday morning at the county fair. Here's Alex as a cop.
And Nicholas
Nick really just wanted to be carried. We had gone into one of the barns just when one of the really, really big pigs got loose and was running through the barn. It kind of freaked out the boys, so we had to carry them most of the time . . . which was great since it had been raining all night. David and I were covered in mud in no time.
The boys like the old caboose the best.

Getting ready for our first Yard Sale

7/11/08 The boys were a little surprised to see all their old toys coming out to be cleaned up for the yard sale. First, they just wanted to play with everything. Then, they wanted to help clean.
Alex was very helpful with making bubbles. . .
and testing out the old bouncer. Of course, all I could think of was how his little feet couldn't touch the bottom of this the first several times I put him in it.

Splish splash

7/7/07 The boys still love this little water mat we got for them a few years ago.
They like to get a running start and try to land on the sea shell - which is filled with water and makes the little fountain shoot higher.
Nick playing "golf." I think he needs to work on his swing.
My children can turn just about anything into a contact sport.

So behind on pics!

7/6/2008 - On the hammerhead shark at the zoo. We've been back to the zoo a couple of time since these pictures, but I'll get caught up with my blogging eventually. On the carousel - at first no one wanted to ride a horse.
But then Nick decided he was brave enough to try. Alex still hasn't tried out the horses. He prefers to ride the bench.

This was the first time they made it to the second level of the big kids play area at the zoo. Getting them down was a bit challenging, but they had a great time.
They were seriously tired by the time we got home.
